Capabilities

What we deliver

Five capabilities that make a market programme work, delivered by the local program provider.

A bank joining the Programme needs more than a contract and a channel. It needs staff who understand cross-border local-currency operations, systems that can hold the throughput the network requires, and material its own market can read. Those needs are not additions to the Programme. They are the conditions under which it functions.

Five capabilities sit inside every market programme, delivered by the local program provider under agreement with each member bank.

Who delivers them

All five are delivered by the local program provider, the joint venture established in each country with a qualified local partner. The local program provider is the only entity in the structure that contracts with banks or interacts with any external party. Digital Local Currency Limited, the regional program managers and the country program managers hold intellectual property, license know-how and technology downward, and exercise board governance. They earn royalty and licensing income from their subsidiaries and nothing else.
